Art-Afrik Plus
is a Toronto-based company that specializes in the promotion and sale of art from Africa and the African Diaspora.
We also promote African works that have been influenced by contemporary western art. For example, David Kibuuka’s paintings, with their vibrant colors, give us an insight into African culture. Kibuuka is known for "fragmentation", a technique that adds depth and breadth to the traditional batik art work, making it comparable to oil, acrylic and watercolor painting.
